Angel Baby 02:42
Angel Baby: How can I say that I'm always thinking of you girl/ Without such a scare coming right off of your precious face/ How can I say that I'd spend every minute of every day with you/ How can I say that everything I do I do cause I'm thinking of you My angel darling, I don't want to leave you alone in this messed up world/ My little baby, I don't think you quite understand the way I feel/ My angel darling, I want you beside me forever and ever Amen/ My precious baby, I'll always be with you no matter who stands up against
2.
Walking around in your own little way/ Can't find my home, no not today/ I catch a breath and hear your voice/ Silencing every other noise/ And you say so loud and clear/ Tomorrow can't come any sooner/ I want to live another day/ A week to go no more delay It had to happen on a Thursday/ It had to happen on a Thursday Your name just a whisper I hear/ But the memory pounding away at me/ Don't want to be alone this time/ Can you please give some kind of sign/ Walking around in your own little way/ Can't find my home, no not today/ I catch a breath and hear your voice/ Silencing every other noise It had to happen on a Thursday/ It had to happen on a Thursday So if I fight the pain/ And stay awake today/ I'll shortly be on my way/ But not on a Thursday
3.
Elliott 03:27
Windows closed, curtains drawn/ I am yours, sing your song/ Note for note, hour to hour/ Can't I write, do I choke Take me away/ With you now/ Figure eight/ Show me how/ Eyes are closed/ Hear you now/ Take me there/ Show me how Dressed in white/ Parking paid/ At your side/ Won't let it fade/ Pulled me apart/ October night/ I see stars/ You were bright Show me how/ show me how/ show me how
4.
What have I said/ What have I done/ To deserve this/ Inconsistency/ Got me here/ And I run Turn around coward and put up a fight/ Stand up for once in your life The splinter in/ My throat now is/ Here from you/ I spit, cough and choke/ Your words down Hypocritical self/ I'm sorry but now I'm not/ Heavenly hell/ My chest is black and white
5.
Before I go to sleep again tonight/ I want to wake the sound one more time/ So please come to me/ let me know just what to sing/ This song isn't quite/ What I had in my mind My eyelids drop on down/ I am dreaming/ The perfect melody/ In my head ringing Then I wake to find/ I can't remember/ It happens all the time/ It's like torture/ So please come to me/ Let me know just what to sing
6.
My Gray Girl 03:04
You and me are just too pretty ugly today/ Everyone is gray/ You and me are just too pretty ugly today/ Everyone is strange And I know that things won't be the same/ And I know we have changed/ But I hope you're still strange/ I know things will never quite be the same/ Cause of yesterday, but I hope you're still gray He and she are just too perfectly deranged today/ Everyone is fake/ He and she are just too incorrectly made today/ Everyone is sane
7.
Not Tonight 03:18
he's been here before/ She's been here before/ Not tonight, not tonight Ran outside to meet her/ Ran outside to see her/ Not tonight, not tonight I was lost and alone/ But assured by myself tonight I will wait another day/ I will wait another day/ Not the same and not for her/ Cause I'm done now, I'm done now, I'm done now
8.
You don't drink and you don't smoke/ Neither did I until you left/ You don't forgive and you don't forget/ Why can't you remember me. You don't stand and you don't sit/ Why did you always stand up to me/ You don't run and you don't walk/ Why did you run away from me Unrelenting Eagerness/ I can't be patient, not for this/ For you and for me/ It's love darling, can't you see She won't stay but never goes/ All I want is found in her/ She won't fight but she won't quit/ I fear that all is lost for me When you walk away I'll find you/ I will bring you back to me/ All I have is found inside you/ All I have is you and me
9.
He's running away again/ From what he must face/ Built into the system/ He's stuck there He wants to see a new way/ He wants a different look/ Built into the system/ He's stuck there But everything has changed today/ And nothing really feels the same/ With no one else quite how they were/ Makes everything seem so perfect All it takes is steps forward/ A little change to make it work/ Get so used to the same old
10.
Race home to wait all night/ For a sign, just a sign/ Subterranean dreams inside/ And I drown, and I drown/ But all that's left is the letter I wrote/ And never sent to you/ So again, I send a spear straight through/ To ease my troubled mind Blackened lungs/ Dying slow (slower than slow)/ Troubled mind/ Trying hard to say goodbye Fall down and face the ground/ To escape, to escape/ Shadows gone from all around/ And I'm still and I'm still/ There's no one left here to pick me back up/ And throw me down again/ The air has left for the very last time/ And my troubles disappear Goodbye bye bye

about

The album cover features a picture of a big tree in a forest but the album actually gets it's name from Forest dormitory at Indiana University Bloomington. The album is a true Hoosier classic that has been a long time in the making! Lead singer and songwriter John Wick originally wrote the 10 songs in 2002 while living in Forest dormitory at Indiana University in Bloomington.

In 2022, John reconnected with long time musical partner Andrew Gustin to properly record the songs. Andrew was blown away by what he heard in the dorm room demos. He learned the songs and wrote brand new arrangements which led to the creation of their new band Wick.

****Digital Bonus Track Info "When you see the Light"

During a recording session for Wick we gave John's then 6 year old daughter Olivia a turn to put on the headphones and record. I set her up with a simple repetitive hip hop style drum beat with no music behind it, and John and I left the room and closed the door.

We came back a few minutes later to find out that she had belted out a whole original song with discernible sections. We were amazed but then I forgot about the song for a while.

Late one night I was bored of working on another composition and opened up Olivia's track. I decided to see if I could figure out her melodies and put chords behind it. As I started to do this I figured out different ways I could re-harmonize and substitute different chords that fit to give the melody a different pull. Somehow that evening I was able to lock into what Olivia was going for and transformed the acapella track into an epic and dramatic pop song.

Eventually I had my daughter Amelia get in on the fun and recorded her singing along with the track, and had her be Olivia's "hype man".
